The objective of the Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program at Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus, is to train you to integrate theory and practice in the area of industrial/organizational psychology and to contribute to the enhancement of human life in organizational contexts. The curriculum is designed to provide you with theoretical and practical training in the areas of selection and placement, training and development, performance measurement, organizational behavior, organization development, and quality of work life.

CAU’s Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program will also offer you the opportunity to learn the professional, ethical and legal standards of the discipline and the value of life-long learning.
As part of your training as a student in the Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program, you will be placed in a variety of practicum sites that will allow for the integration of theory and practice and the development of practical competencies in the field. Practicum sites include: banks, hospitals, public agencies, consultation firms, hotels, and non-profit organizations, among others.
At Carlos Albizu University’s Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program, you will be trained by a highly committed, diverse faculty with expertise in the areas they teach. Our faculty members are academicians, as well as practitioners, that will bring to your classes their real life experiences in the field, thus enriching your learning experience while in the Program.
The Program has two full time faculty members recognized by their contributions to our discipline in Puerto Rico and who are also strongly committed to research: Dr. Miguel E. Martinez (Full Professor and Program Director) and Dr. José A. Pérez (Associate Professor). These faculty members participate in national and international meetings presenting the results of their research projects and also publish regularly in different peer review journals.
As a graduate of Carlos Albizu University’s Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program you will be eligible for licensure in Puerto Rico.
