Middle States Commission on Higher Education

Albizu University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (267-284-5000) www.msche.org. The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).  Albizu University is accredited by MSCHE since 1974.

Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology programs offered at the San Juan Campus, the Miami Campus, and the Mayagüez University Center.

NC-SARA

Albizu University is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA with Puerto Rico as its Home State. As a participating post-secondary institution, can offer interstate distance education in SARA member state. Subject to certain limitations, Albizu is not required to individually apply to each state for such approval. Albizu University is approved to provide coursework leading to state certification in Early Childhood Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and for elementary school educators to obtain a Reading Endorsement. Students completing a program leading to certification are reminded that while the curriculum of the program is designed to assist students in obtaining certification by outside agencies, the completion of all program requirements does not guarantee automatic eligibility for certification.

The Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education program is developed in accordance with the teaching certification requirements of the Florida Bureau of Educator Certification (BEC). The curriculum offered complies with the required BEC standards.
