Biography
Over 18 years of experience as a mental health administrator and psychologist with a background in Forensic Clinical Psychology. She completed her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University (APA-accredited). She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University. Dr. Nelson is a Forensic Examiner for the 20th Judicial Circuit. In addition, served as Mental Health Director for the North Broward Bureau Broward County Jail System, Program Director for the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT), and Primary Therapist at The Watershed Treatment Programs, among other positions.
