Chancellor of Albizu - San Juan

The chancellor leads the campus in fulfilling the university’s mission of educating, researching, and providing services for the benefit of the community. This mission is focused on achieving academic excellence from a pluralistic and multidimensional perspective, educating our students to work in a highly complex and diverse society, improving our communities’ quality of life by training professionals with multicultural competencies, and continuing an educational philosophy based on a commitment to social responsibility in all programs and services.

The chancellor ensures that, through the implementation of the strategic plan derived from the university’s mission, all members of the campus community—faculty, administrators, staff, and students—work together to promote said mission. The chancellor provides vision, gathers and manages resources, and facilitates a work environment that sustains the university’s goals and objectives.

The Office of the Chancellor of the San Juan Campus works in close collaboration with the President’s Office as well as with faculty, staff, students, and community members to ensure that the campus is a vital presence in the community and a responsible steward of the university’s mission for higher education.
