Current Title & Duties

Professor Fraga has been a part of the speech and language pathology graduate program at Albizu University since May 2022. During this time, she has served as a Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Practicum Coordinator and has taught Advanced Clinical Practicum 1 and Advanced Clinical Practicum 2. As a fulltime Faculty, Professor Fraga also serves as mentor-advisor to students in the speech and language department.

Biography

As a seasoned professional in the field of speech-language pathology, Professor Fraga brings a wealth of experience spanning over a decade. Her passion for assisting individuals across diverse age groups from pediatrics to adults and geriatrics has led her to cultivate a multifaceted career across various healthcare and educational settings.

Professor Fraga had the privilege of working in a wide array of environments, each presenting unique challenges and learning opportunities. From nurturing young minds in daycare settings to addressing critical needs in hospital settings, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities, she's acquired a comprehensive understanding of the spectrum of care required for different individuals.

Throughout her career, Professor Fraga developed a specialized focus on various disorders, including but not limited to apraxia of speech, dysphagia, AAC and autism spectrum disorders. Working with these diverse conditions has honed her skills in diagnostics, therapy implementation, and personalized care plans, ensuring that each patient receives tailored and effective treatment.

Academics, Education, Certifications

Professor Fraga received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the Florida International University. She then received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. Professor Fraga holds the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
