Late Registration and Drop/Add
Procedures for late registration and drop/add differ depending on when they are processed. Late registration fees will be assessed. Please refer to the Late Registration and Drop/Add for complete information.
Adjusting Your Class Schedule
In general, students who have already registered may drop or add classes during those days and times permitted. You should contact the Office of the Registrar for specific information about drop/add and related procedures. You may not attend a class from which you have withdrawn.
Audit and Pass/Not-Pass Options
If you wish to audit a class, you must contact your academic program for approval. All audits are graded with an audit (AU) grading option. Registration or add-drop procedures must be done in person. Regular tuition course fees will be assessed. Audited courses appear on the academic transcript from CAU. Any changes between audit and regular credit graded classes may not be made after the add/drop deadline specified in the academic calendar has passed.
Withdrawals from Classes/University
You are responsible for completing and processing a drop/add form to record your official withdrawal from a class. If you stop attending a class and do not officially withdraw from it, you will be responsible for any outstanding fees and may receive a grade of F or AW for that course.
Dropping classes after the withdrawal deadline requires additional approvals such as the Chancellor. All requests for withdrawal must be petitioned through the Office of the Registrar at the San Juan campus and the Office of Student Services at the Miami campus. All petitions for late withdrawal will require that you provide documentation of the circumstances leading to your request.
If a class in which you are registered is cancelled, the academic department will notify the Office of the Registrar, who in turns will automatically drop all of your cancelled classes. You are responsible for following up with Financial Aid and Finance to receive a refund for the class cancelled. An advisor’s signature is not required to drop a canceled class.
Refund of Fees
100% refund one week before classes begins and the first week of classes.
