The Zambrano Foundation Inc., a passionate non-profit organization about the democracy in the US and beyond strengthening democracy in the Americas, with Carlos Albizu University at Doral, announced the month´s celebration activities in the name of peace and the preservation of human rights “Together for World Peace”.

Dr. Angel Collado Schwarz, fourth president of Carlos Albizu University

Jaime Pla, President of the Board of Trustees of Carlos Albizu University, announced the appointment of Dr. Angel Collado Schwarz as the fourth president of the institution.

Dr. Collado Schwarz, graduated from the University of Puerto Rico and Syracuse University in New York, has a doctorate from the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. He has served as a professor for the Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Puerto Rico and the Faculty of Law of the University of Puerto Rico.

He has published four books, including the first Puerto Rican book translated into Mandarin, Success Sovereignty, and has served as a visiting lecturer at several universities as Harvard, Yale, MIT, Columbia, Georgetown, Vanderbilt and the Tshinghua University in Beijing, among others.

Dr. Collado Schwarz is a member of the Board of Trustees of Syracuse University and recently at the University of Puerto and also has extensive management experience having led the multinational communications firm Saatchi and Saatchi Worldwide, with operations in 20 countries in Latin America, New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

"The appointment of Dr. Angel Collado Schwarz comes as part of our future project for the institution that kept the northern addressing one of the most serious problems of our society, mental health. With this appointment we will reinforce the goals and objectives to provide the best professionals in the field of psychology and human behavior to our society", said Pla Cortés.

"Carlos Albizu University is one of the best kept secret's institution a leader in its field that has graduated over 80% of psychologists in Puerto Rico. The mental health is one of the main problems in our modern society. Carlos Albizu, its programs, research and services, represents a formidable resource to help improve the quality of life in Puerto Rico and the Hispanic community in the United States, Collado Schwarz said".
