Miami Campus, Florida - The state of the art Title V New Wing area of Albizu University – Miami Campus, was the scenario for student prospects, parents, faculty and staff who joined to celebrate an open house event on February 6, 2016.
Over 50 people registered for the event who mixed and mingled, with the academic program directors, financial aid officers, and Recruitment/Admissions staff meanwhile they grab their coffee and delicacies.
According to Andrea Nicole Castro, who traveled with her parents from Puerto Rico “It was great to come and visit Miami Campus. The program that I am want to apply for, is not available in Puerto Rico”. Mrs. Castro is looking to be admitted to the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) Program in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Neuropsychology, one of the only 7 Accredited Programs by APA in the State of Florida. http://apps.apa.org/accredsearch/.
This concentration is designed to train students in the assessment, management, and rehabilitation of brain-injured individuals as well as those diagnosed with degenerative brain disorders.
“I think the event went very well,” said Gabriela Fontán, Associate Director of Recruitment. “We were able to meet a lot of potential students and clarify doubts regarding the admissions requirements as well as financial aid options, mostly, for the new academic programs. The next open house event will be held on February 23rd, as part of the Mother Language Day Conmemoration International.
