The Chancellor leads the campus in fulfilling the University’s mission of education, research, and service to the community. The four- part mission of the University is aimed at academic excellence from a pluralistic and multidimensional perspective, the education of students to work in a highly complex and diverse society, the improvement of the quality of life or our communities by training professionals with multicultural competencies, and at an educational philosophy based on a commitment to social responsibility in all our programs and services.
The Chancellor ensures that, through the implementation of the strategic plan that is derived from its mission, all members of the campus community – faculty, administrators, staff, and students – work together to promote the mission.
