CAU’s Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education will train you to integrate the study and understanding of human behavior with a strong appreciation for diversity the educational field.
Our education courses will require for you to participate in clinical observation hours in a public school setting, thus allowing you to directly participate in a classroom learning environment early on as part of your professional development.
Carlos Albizu University students in the BAEE Program have the opportunity to take a selected number of graduate level courses as electives, thus paving the way for entrance into our master’s level programs.
Carlos Albizu University’s BAEE Program culminates with a 15-week internship experience at a Dade or Broward County public school where you would be under the supervision of a CAU Education faculty and a supervising teacher.
As a graduate of Carlos Albizu University’s BAEE Program, you will receive ESOL endorsement with the option to also obtain Reading endorsement by completing six additional credits in Education courses (i.e., Reading in Elementary School II (REA 302) and Reading Practicum REA 430).
The availability of day, evening, and online classes will provide you with the flexibility and convenience you may need to meet other life demands. Classes are taught by an expert group of faculty with real life experiences in the field.
CAU’s BAEE graduates will go on to qualify to take the State of Florida Teacher Certification Examination and secure a job either in the private or public school systems. Many of our graduates are employed within the local school system, thus contributing to the education of children in our diverse communities. Other CAU’s BAEE graduates continue their higher education careers by pursuing a master or doctoral degree.
