English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Program Overview

The objective of the English as a Second Language (ESOL) Program at Carlos Albizu University, Miami Campus, is to teach English language skills that will prepare you to effectively communicate in family, work, school, and many other settings.  The ESOL course sequence provides basic comprehensive English language skills, including reading, writing and speaking.

Program Highlights

As a student in Carlos Albizu University’s ESOL Program, you will participate in a variety of learning methods that will assist you in your English language development.  Class exercises, computer-based assignments, written and oral exercises, and other activities are used by expert faculty to provide you with personalized attention in a small class environment.

Our students begin the ESOL Program with a basic training in comprehensive English language skills in reading, writing and oral communication.  You can receive additional advanced English language skills that will facilitate your entry into various CAU‘s academic programs (psychology, education and business).

Our ESOL Program can also enhance your existing English language skills to make you a more competitive candidate in both the professional and academic areas.

Career Opportunities

Carlos Albizu University’s ESOL Program graduates will develop the abilities to effectively communicate in English for ease of integration into the English speaking professional and academic communities.
